Dog Training

Each dog has a different personality, drive and temperament, and therefore deserves a training regimen tailored not only to its needs, but also one that is compatible with the needs of its owner. Raven's Den will work closely with you to promote the optimal satisfaction and happiness for both your dog and you.  

Raven's Den offers many different kinds of training, each of which can and will be altered to what we and the owner believe is best.

​Initial Consultation: At the beginning of each training transaction with Raven's Den, the trainer will visit the dog owner's house for 1 to 1 1/2 hours to meet and get to know you and your dog. $35

Daily Training: The trainer will come to your house to train your dog for a 1 to 2 hours. Generally, the owner and trainer will schedule another training session after two weeks following a day of training. $50

Weekend Training: The owner drops their dog off for a weekend of intensive training. They must have a 30 minute long session when they pick up the dog to review, learn and prepare to work on what their dog has been taught. $75 

(Friday drop off after 3:00 o'clock is an additional $20)

Week to Week Training: The owner drops their dog off for a week of intensive training. They must have a 30 minute long session when they pick up the dog to review and learn what their dog has been taught. $150 Monday-Friday (Sunday drop off is an additional $20) 

Breed compatibility consulting

For each person there exists the perfect dog to fit their personality and lifestyle. Unfortunately, we can be mesmerized by the adorable little face of any puppy and sometimes we are compelled to take them home with us. But puppies grow up. They can sometimes become too big, too active, too loud or too anxious for the owner to deal with, and they all too often get dropped off at the pound.

Raven's Den provides well-researched recommendations and knowledge about the temperament, size and needs of hundreds of breeds of dogs, big or small, common or rare, puppy or adult. We are fully dedicated to finding you the perfect match.

Flat rate: $25-$50 depending upon complexity.

Puppy scouting

Who doesn't love puppies? The puppy phase, as short as it is, is a wonderful whirlwind of playfulness wrapped in an adorable ball of fluff. But there are many pitfalls in looking for a puppy. Some unscrupulous dog vendors are only looking out for the money that comes with the breeding and selling of dogs, and not the puppy's best interests. Raven's Den will provide our extensive knowledge and experience to help you locate a responsible breeder and the perfect pup for you.

While all puppies tug at our heart strings, some people just prefer a dog that's had a little more life experience. Raven's Den will also help you search for the perfect adult dog to be your companion.
